Canberra Rodent Control

Canberra Rodent Control is a specialist, Canberra-based pest management provider focused exclusively on delivering superior and sustainable solutions for persistent rat and mouse infestations across the Australian Capital Territory. We are experts in what we call Pest Control, an advanced and highly effective strategy that prioritises permanent, physical exclusion over continuous reliance on chemicals and temporary baits. Our method is based on the understanding that rodents capable of squeezing through gaps will continue to re-enter a property unless their access points are physically and robustly blocked. We achieve this by using commercial-grade, durable metal products: specifically, high-grade stainless steel mesh, specialised wire wool, and custom-fit sheet metal flashing. Our trained technicians meticulously identify and seal every vulnerability, including weep holes, pipe and conduit entries, foundation gaps, vent openings, and roof eaves. This use of metal provides a permanent, chew-proof, and weather-resistant barrier, making it impossible for rodents to breach the building envelope. * Detailed Inspection and Identification: We conduct a thorough, whole-property inspection, often utilising tools like thermal imaging cameras, to accurately locate nesting sites, travel pathways, and all potential entry points. We identify the specific species (e.g., Roof Rats, Norway Rats, House Mice) to inform the most effective strategy. * Extermination and Removal: Where an active infestation is present, we safely and strategically deploy targeted trapping and baiting solutions to eliminate the existing rodent population. Our methods prioritise safety for people and pets and minimise environmental impact. * Permanent Metal Exclusion (Proofing): This is our signature service. We implement the guaranteed metal proofing barriers, effectively sealing the building to prevent any future access. This structural work is discreet, durable, and the key to a long-term rodent-free environment. By choosing Canberra Rodent Control, you are investing in a definitive, long-term solution that significantly reduces the need for continuous pest control treatments and toxic chemicals. Our local expertise ensures compliance with ACT environmental standards, and our commitment to using non-toxic exclusion methods makes us the safest choice for homes, schools, hospitals, and food-handling businesses in the region. We offer an industry-leading guarantee on all our metal proofing work, providing you with true protection and lasting peace of mind.
