Overview
Wage Calculator Australia is a free, independent tool that helps employees and employers work out take-home pay, tax and award minimum rates under the Fair Work Act 2009 and Australian tax law. It covers PAYG income tax, the Medicare levy and surcharge, superannuation guarantee, HECS/HELP repayments, Division 293, salary sacrifice, overtime, casual loading, penalty rates, annual leave and leave loading, plus award minimum rates for 19 modern awards including Retail (MA000004), Hospitality (MA000009), SCHADS (MA000100), Nurses (MA000034), Clerks (MA000002) and Fast Food (MA000003). Every rate carries the primary source it came from, the date that source last changed, and the date it was retrieved, and is reviewed by Olivia Harper, an Australian payroll and tax specialist with 12 years in Australian payroll.
